During 5 consecutive days for ART CULTURE SPORT MUSIC EXHIBITION AND FUN in Peninsula Nusa Dua Bali from 17th - 21st October 2009. The theme of the festival, "Green Tourism", aims to always remind us the importance of environment's conservation which brings positive impacts to the Tourism life in Bali, said Ir. I Made Mandra, President Director of BTDC.
Bali Tourism Development Corporation (BTDC) is a state owned corporation (BUMN) which acts as the developer of a tourism area Nusa Dua. This place is located in the south of Bali island framed with wonderful panorama and white sandy beach, a manicured and integrated area with many facility components the exclusive, secure and comfortable facilities has been transformed into visiting tourists self satisfaction our strategic location only 25 minutes drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport making of Nusa Dua a dream tourism destination.
The media add some attraction points to increase the number of domestic and foreigner visitors and also to promote this exclusive area of Nusa Dua since 1996 BTDC has been performing annual celebration of art and culture, sport, exhibition, music and fun games supported by the entire existing components known as Nusa Dua Festival, following the changes in time with full dedication and commitment. The name of the event "Nusa Dua Festival" has been changed in 2007 and became "Nusa Dua Fiesta" to give more color and lifestyle compare to the other festivals growing recently.
With full of preparations and supports, for the 13th time, we are back again with the 5 days celebration starting from 17 to 21 October 2009, taking place in the Peninsula - Nusa Dua - Bali. The Peninsula has its own uniqueness and is called "Water Blow", due to its fantastic splashing wave height approximately 15 m between the sharps edges of the reefs.
The exhibition contains handicrafts and other potential tourism support which have synergy with tourism and being followed by other provinces in Indonesia also gracious traditional dance and colossal. The other event is the Beach Dance Creation by Hotels among Nusa Dua Resorts with theme "An Exotic Beach of Nusa Dua" and hotels guest will parade by Balinese traditional wedding Costume and will record by MURI for 300 couples of Traditional Wedding Make up Competition. Environment Care Program contains also the "Green Camp" which aims to educate and to make the students and school children from surrounding sensitive to the environment issues for "coral reef restoration" also They are going to clean up plastic waste in the community of Nusa Dua and will hosted by Dik Doank and Turtle Release and Coral Reef Restoration . In term of sport, Nusa Dua Fiesta proposes 2nd Garuda Indonesia Bali International Marathon for 21 km,10 km, 5 km will participate less more 10.000 participant from International and national RUNNERS and will entertain by Japanese Singer .Golf Tournament and will winning trophy from Minster of Owned State Company, and Aerobic Competition, Nusa Dua Night from Hotels Nusa Dua and Nusa Dua Food Stall with local price but Made by 5 star Hotel's Chef, Family Day will entertain by Fun Game with a lot of prize, animal show, magician, and an attractive competition called "Fruit and Vegetable Carving Competition" , Sand Sculpture, Photo Competition, Jukung Traditional race, Fashion Show and many more….
"Carrying the theme of Green Tourism in Nusa Dua Fiesta 2009 like one of the promotion media and like the famous international tourism destination, the resort area is also really concerned by the environment and this effort was achieved receiving the certification of Green Globe 21 Award for the first tourism resort. Nusa Dua Fiesta promotes the variety of art and culture in Indonesia as well and tightens the relationship between all the stakeholders related to tourism.
